Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region, intends to issue and Invitation for Bid for a firm-fixed price construction contract to demolish and remove the existing CMP culvert (Bucktail Bridge Site) and railroad flatcar bridges (Poker Bar Bridge Site) located on the Trinity River, in Trinity County, California. Principal features of the work include: Controlling water during construction; maintaining access for residents during construction. Poker Bar Bridge Site - Removing and disposing of existing railroad flatcar bridges, decks, and railing containing lead-based paint; removing pressure treated timber; removing steel jacketed caissons, removing H-pile abutments, and miscellaneous concrete; designing, constructing, maintaining and removing temporary bridge crossings; excavating and constructing reinforced concrete foundations and abutments; constructing reinforced concrete drilled shafts at bridge abutments; designing, fabricating, furnishing, and installing steel truss bridges; constructing reinforced concrete bridge decks; furnishing and placing rock slope protection. Bucktail Bridge Site - Removing and replacing riprap and fence; removing existing CMP culvert; constructing reinforced concrete foundations for structural plate arch; furnishing and installing structural place arch; placing spawning gravel in the CMP arch invert. Constructing roadway embankment; furnishing and placing gravel surfacing, aggregate base course, asphalt concrete pavement and guardrail; regarding existing bridge sites and excavating for wetland mitigation; and disposing of all removed materials off-site. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Period of Performance is 318 Days. This requirement is a 100% HUBZone Set-Aside. NAICS Code is: 237310 and size standard is: $28.5M. Solicitation 04SI202015 will be posted on the FEDBIZ OPS web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about February 26, 2004. The estimated date for receipt of bids is on or about March 29, 2004. The solicitation and specifications MUST be downloaded at the above site, with drawings being mailed to you by hardcopy. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings. You must register on the Bidder's Mailing List to receive the drawings.
