- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE- This project is 100% set aside for certified small business HUBZone contractors. The project work site is the U.S.Coast Guard Group Key West (Monroe county) Florida. The project work includes furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials to upgrade the interior electrical distribution system in building 48 which includes removal of large diesel engine-generator from large main mechanical room on first floor, east side of bldg; removal of all air conditioning equipment from main mechanical room on first floor (compressors, heat transfer unit, large air handling system, pumps and all associated piping and duct work); removal of all electrical equipment such as circuit breaker panels, breakers, switches, etc. associated with removed air conditioning equipment; removal of all 400 Hz and DC equipment and associated wiring throughout the building; removal of cooling tower from roof above mechanical room and all associated electrical and mechanical equipment, wiring and conduit.Removal of air conditioning control center in mechanical room; providing new electrical equipment, wiring and conduit to supply remaining electrical loads supplied by existing control center; replacement of Westinghouse main electrical service switchboard in mechanical room; providing partition with fire rated wall, repair, clean and paint mechanical room to make part of the existing mechanical room a storage room for non-hazardous materials; replacement of all circuit breaker panels and their associated feeders throughout the building; replacement of lighting in mechanical room; removal of fresh air duct in mechanical room and repair exterior wall; install Government furnished 1000-gallon diesel fuel Convault storage tank, 75-gallon daytank, leak detection system, 250 KW diesel generator and associated wiring and piping; and other demolition and new work as described on plans and specifications. The estimated price range for this project is $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. Bid documents will issue on or about February 25, 2004. Bid Opening Date is March 25, 2004, 2:00 PM. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238210, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS, with a size standard of $12.0 million.
