Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Q uotes are requested; however, a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W911S8-04-T-0012 is applicable and is issued as a request for quotations. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Fe deral Acquisition Circular 2001-03. The requirement is unrestricted with a NAICS Code of 312111,SIC Code 2086 and size standard of 500 employees The government intends to award a base year plus two option years contract to The Pepsi Bottling Group for the following items: To provide Pepsi canned and bottled products carried under the Pepsi label to Madigan Army Medical Center, Nutrition Care Division, as needed, up to five times per week. Pepsi Bottling Group will provide the lowest prices based upon military discount pri cing as reviewed annually. Pepsi Bottling Group will provide refrigeration and dispensing equipment for its products in accordance with company policies and guidelines, based on the needs and sales volume in Nutrition Care Division. Pepsi Bottling Group will also provide repair and/or replacement and upgrades of its equipment as deemed appropriate by servicing representatives in accordance with company policies and guidelines. Government Point of Contact (POC) for ordering shall order quantities as needed from local area distributor. Pricing is in accordance with effective Voluntary Price Reduction - Military Pricing. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. An addendum to this provision is applicable, in which the term offeror (whenever it appears) shall be replaced with the term quoter. Quoters are required to submit completed copies of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their quotes. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and does not include any addenda. FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items, applie s to this acquisition. The following clauses within 52.212-5(b) are applicable to this acquisition: 52.222.21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.222-19, 52.232-33, and, 52.232-33 and 52.232-36 are applicable to this acquisition. The followin g clause within DFARS clause 252.212-7001(b) is applicable to this acquisition: 252.225-7001.
