- Amendment No. 1, issued on 1/22/2004, revised the bid due date from 2/4/2004 to 2/18/2004. The Washington Metopolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking sealed bids for solicitation IFB-C-1F0064/JJP to furnish all labor, equipment, materials, necessary incidentals and supervision required to construct and test a water treatment facility, including landscaping and restoration. The facility consists of contruction of a single story 40 foot long by 21 foot wide masonry structure that will function to treat high acid content tunnel water to meet EPA regulation. The work will include, but not be limited to, the following activities: Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Utilities and Communications, required testing and reports. Estimated cost range: $500,000 to $700,000. Contract duration: 8 months. Bid opening on February 18, 2004. A pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 AM on January 20, 2004 in the Meeting Room, Lobby level, Jackson Graham Building, 600 Fifth Street NW, Washington DC 20001.
