- NAVSEA, Indian Head Division, has a sole source requirement with Interstate Electronics Corporation, L3 Communications Division, 602 East Vermont Ave., PO Box 3117, Anaheim, Ca., for 1 each of GPS Simulator, 24 Channels, SAASM Compliant. The requiring activity is Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), Rocket Center, WV. The ABL site is owned by the Navy, operated by Alliant TechSystems, Inc (ATK). Sponsoring activity is NAVSEA, Indian Head. A new facility is being constructed at the ABL site which requires system commality for consistency of weapons development testing. Indian Head has been tasked with the assembly of that site, whick is to be based upon Indian Head's existing Functional Ground Test (FGT) system.The unit is required for ABL to keep RDT&E test tools current with miltary-wide performance requirements, and compatible between test sites. Interstate Electronics C orporation simulator is the only unit know that can support 24 channels. Channel capacity of this magnitude is required for accommodating multiple satellite and/or jammer configurations during GPS receiver testing inside an anechoic chamber, as well as having reserve channel capacity should one or two channels fail, plus still satisfy the need of more specific GPS receiver testing in other laboratory and/or production spaces. This will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Delivery Schedule is April 01,2004. This solicitation will be available for downloading from our website beginning approximately 09 February 2004. Prior to this date, you will not be able to access this solicitation. When available, copies of this solicitation can only be obtained from the Navsea, Indian Head Internet web page. Use your email read notification feature to confirm the Contract Specialist's receipt of your registration. The government is not responsible for any undelivered e-mail transmissions. It's the requestor's responsibility to periodically check the Navsea, Indian Head Contracts Division website for current status of solicitations and amendments. Once the solicitation has been issued on the internet, the contract specialist will send an e-mail message to the registered requestors informing them that the solicitation is now available for downloading off the internet. Copies of issued solicitations can only be obtained by downloading them from the Navsea, Indian Head Contra cts Division website at http:// www.ih.navy.mil/contracts (" copies of solicitations will not be e-mailed, faxed, mailed, or provided in person, these types of requests WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED"). Note: All offerors will be ineligible for award unless they have registered in DoD's Central Contractor Registration database.
