- Description
- This is a "Best Value" one-step solicitation for the design and construction of a community kitchen shelter at the Mitchell Creek Campground, Chelan Ranger District. Design work shall include development of the construction contract drawings and specifications; and preparation of a cost estimate by an Architect/Engineer licensed in the state of Washington. Construction work shall include construction of the structure and associated site work. Existing shelter was completely burned by wildfire in the summer of 2002 and all that remains are the original stone columns and a portion of the stone fireplace/stove. To protect occupied winter range for bald eagles, mule deer, and bighorn sheep, activities that generate noise above ambient levels will be restricted from November 1 through March 31 of each year. Estimated start work date is 10/20/03 with a completion date of 5/28/04. Government Estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. An alternate payment protection (payment bond) will be required after award. This project is being advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. NAICS code is 233320.
