Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Washington Detachment, intends to award a sole-source contract to Federal Radio Service Corporation, Baltimore Maryland for support in telecommunication radio service for the Navy Public work Center (PWC) government agency community. The following services will be provided: 1. a radio service communication link for the PWC federal community that operates the trunked radio service for PWC vehicles and all PWC locations. The Federal Radio Service Corp (FRSC) will operate the trunked radio service for federal government agencies and contractors under contract from the Department of Commerce/NTIA, issued by the National Institute of Standards Contract# 50SANT300028. 2. Provide radio service communication link that operates FEDSMR wide band trunked radio service and 1-Commwireless narrowband digital trunked radio services for PWC government agencies. 3.Ensure that FEDSMAR and 1-Comm Wireless Radio service is the available communication source within the PWC community, in both PWC vehicles and site locations. The radio communication service must be capable of basic radio broadcast service within the PWC community. 4. Technical performance must operate in accordance with the regulation of the NTIA and operate in accordance with Federal Service Communication contract with the Department of Commerce. 5. The trunked radio service provided must provide FEDSMR and NTS airtime service, compliant equipment and maintenance service. A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance is anticipated to be from date of award through 30 September 2004, and four one year options. The SIC Code is 4812. See Note 22. Solicitation number N00600-04-R-0220 will be available approximately 29 January 2004 and can be downloaded from http://www.neco.navy.mil. The solicitation may be processed following normal commercial item procedures. The Government may award on initials.
