This proposed acquisition is for a requirements contract which will be segregated into three (3) program periods with orders to be issued one or more times as requirements materialize. However, this does not preclude the Government from ordering the maximum quantity at any time during the requirements period. The known quantity is 143, and the maximum quantity is 249. This requirement req uires one (1) each, first article submitted for testing. Destination to be furnished. Delivery Schedule 230 days after contract award. 100 days for first article, 30 days for contractor test, 100 days for production quantity. Delivery Schedule without first article test is 100 days after contract award. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Offe rors must be approved and qualified. The Government does not possess sufficient documentation to acquire this item from other than the qualified source. A technical data package, which defines all engineering and quality requirements, is not available. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Suggest, that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in c onnection with this procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Foreign firms are reminded that all request for solicitations must be processed through their respective embassies. Request for proposal will be issued to Raytheon Technical Services Co mpany LLC, 6125 E. 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219-2058 (Cage Code 072E5) and Advanced Photonix Inc., 1240 Avenida Acaso, Camarillo, CA 93012-8754 (Cage Code 9R460). All responsible sources may submit a bid /proposal, or quotation, which shall be con sidered by this agency, request solicitation package from address above, ATTN: AMSAM-AC-LS-MC, FAX Number 256-955-7737. The most recent representative unit price and quantity relative to this acquisition is NSN: 1240-01-442-8467, Award date: 19 Dec 2003, Qty: 35 each, Unit price: $1,060.49.
