- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase rack-mountable computers for use in an existing aircraft platform. Common compatibility is required to maintain mission essential effectiveness. A sole source procurement to Kontron America, 6260 Sequence Drive, San Diego, California 92121-4371 will be awarded as a result of this synopsis. A sole source procurement is necessary because Kontron America is the only manufacturer that produces the Omnix PC: a rack-mountable computer, Item Number 200-H53-18, which meets the current design specification and physical size, and is therefore the only source to provide the equipment. Award is to be made under simplified acquisition procedures on an all or none basis. The closing date is 20 January 2004. Anticipated award date is 23 January 2004. Pricing should be FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY (CBD) NOTICE. The Government will award a purchase order from this synopsis to Kontron America. All interested parties other than Kontron must provide written documentation demonstrating how their products can meet the Government requirements. Quotes may be submitted by e-mail in Microsoft Word format to xds13@nswc.navy.mil E-mail should reference N00178-04-Q-3011. Numbered Note 22 applies.
