- This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTENDS TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS NOTICE OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this Source Sought Notice is to perform ?market research?. Market research will help determine how to write the solicitation for this service. The type of service needed is an Instructor/Mentor-led Curriculum Developer/Support. Briefly, the Squadron Officer College today uses three primary teaching methodologies: ? Instructor/Mentor-led Curriculum Delivery: through seminars, large audience lectures, and guest speakers to present information and solicit interactivity and critical thinking. ? Educational Technologies, Modeling and Simulations: reinforces concepts through active learning techniques such as the, ?What Now, Lieutenant?!? Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) programs dealing with Air Force core values. Uses simulations to operationalize doctrine and core competencies through hands-on applications. ? Wargaming and Applied Learning Activities: deployment and operational airpower execution exercise (emphasizing Information Operations and Information Warfare) is at the heart of ABC and SOS curriculum. Students develop and execute their plans. Students solve routine scenarios under realistic conditions while executing and modifying plans. Students conduct and sustain flight, support, space, and Information Warfare operations Final responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be due no later than (NLT) 16 Jan 04. A solicitation is expected to be issued 20 Jan 04.
