Description

NA The Headquarters, Military Traffic Management Command, MTMC intents to solicit and negotiate a competitive contract. This requirement is to provide the transportation service needs of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for the movement of its small package gro und general cargo shipments including the movement of Department of Defense (DOD) freight traffic and U. S. Government shipments of foreign military sales (FMS) material. The program consists of moving small package ground general cargo shipments of a non -expedited (routine) nature, in service from three to six (3-6) days, with no single piece exceeding 150 pounds. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) will establish regularly scheduled pickup service at two primary depot locations and at several other dep ots, and provide delivery service from those locations CONUS-wide. The contract also requires In-Transit Visibility (ITV) for all packages shipped under the PWS. The solicitation will be unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 484121. This effort will be awarded as a Fixed-Price IDIQ contract with a one-year base period and three one-year option periods. The base period is expected to begin 1 October 03. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or about 30 July 03 with an expected closing date of 29 August 03, and will identify the exact date and location for the pre-proposal conference.
