- Description
- The United States Postal Service (USPS) established a group of pre-qualified commercial suppliers which hold Information Business Systems Solutions Ordering Agreements (IBSS-OA) in 2001. These Ordering Agreements provide development, integration, and support of custom IT applications, utilizing current, industry best practices and innovative approaches that are consistent and in accordance with the Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model (SEI-CMM) Level 2 for software development, and USPS policies and procedures. When applicable and practicable, suppliers may utilize a combination of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software, custom software, and/or COTS hardware, as required in order to provide a solution to the USPS. In accordance with the USPS Purchasing Manual, the Postal Service periodically reassess the suppliers included in this list in order to ensure that they remain qualified and reliable and to consider whether new suppliers should be included from the list. Therefore, it is the intent of the Postal Service to reassess the current IBSS prequalified OA holders and identify potential suppliers which may be considered for future prequalification purposes. It is anticipated that any subsequent information necessary for IBSS prequalification consideration will be provided via FedBizzOpps within 60 days of this notice. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation exists. Telephone inquiries will not be honored.
