- Description
- The purpose of this project is to abate a hazard from an abandoned mine opening located in the Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve (BDMRP), part of the East Bay Regional Parks District, located near the town of Antioch, California, in Contra Costa County. Reclamation of mine opening S31 will involve: clearing vegetation and hand excavating around the mine opening; backfilling the mine opening with approximately 150 cubic yards of controlled density fill (CDF) in at least two stages; and restoring and revegetating all other disturbed areas. Construction will be done in early May 2004. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for February 18, 2004. The solicitation will be available on or about January 23, 2004 (this is an estimated date). All requests for the solicitation must be in writing and include complete company name, address, phone and fax numbers and a point of contact. Telephone requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. All Government Contractors are required to register with the Central Contactor Registration (CCR) system. CCR is a single, government-wide system for storing contractor information. A vendor must be registered in the CCR in order to receive contracts and purchase orders from federal agencies.
