- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Pitney Bowes docSense, 2200 Western Court, Suite 100, Lisle, IL, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source for a license upgrade to increase MIPS by 879. National Finalist software is a class-certified product that helps SSA manage the address information in their customer or master files. The Vendor (Pitney Bowes) owns all proprietary rights to the software's source code and is the only responsible sole source for software upgrades; no other source can maintain or upgrade the software. Other organizations possessing the requisite expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data. Pricing data may be submitted. This is not a request for quotation and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. If SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing the software maintenance, SSA shall issue a modification to its existing Purchase Order with Pitney Bowes docSense. Responses to this notice should be submitted by January 21, 2004. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
