Description

This posting constitutes the Department of the Army's (DA) notice of its desire to identify parties interested in managing an exclusive or non-exclusive license to use certain Army trademarks, service marks, insignia, symbols, artwork and designs. T he primary duties would be to establish a licensing program to promote and license the marks, insignias and symbols of DA's current and former combat divisions. Other DA marks, symbols and designs may also be included in the properties to be licensed. Pr ior experience in working with the licensing of U.S. military trademarks will be considered. Payment for services will come solely from revenues generated from licensing the DA properties. DA will actively participate in the development of the licensing program and reserves the right to direct the terms of any licensing agreement, including the royalty rate to be charged. It is anticapted that at least initially, a number of the licenses will have nominal royalty rates or will be royalty free. DA may al so retain final approval authority of the content and appearance for all licensed product. This proposed requirement has an anticipated period of performance of a base year with four or more option years. All responsible, interested sources are asked to submit their qualifications and capabilities in response to this announcement prior to 23 January 2004 to Dale.Williams@knox.army.mil
