- The first modification to this solicitation which cancelled the solicitation has hereby been rescinded, therefore, the original solicitation close date is in effect. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number for this procurement is FA4830-04-Q-0009 and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-15, Defense Acquisition Circular (DAC) 91-13 Correction and Air Force Acquisition Circular (AFAC) 2003-0501. The solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System is 334519. The BID SCHEDULE shall be for CLIN 0001: Parachute Vacuum Test Chamber; P/N: ID-07-110-509; Specifications: Size - 17?x16?x15?, Weight - 46 lbs, Operational Altitude: 1,000 - 25,000 ft, Voltage: North America - 100?120 Volts; Features: Simulates increase in altitude from the sea level to 25,000 ft. Simulates decrease in altitude from 25,000 ft to 1,000 ft. Rate of descent is fully adjustable. The readings are not affected by changes in the ambient barometric pressure. Direct readings of simulated pressure within the chamber. An orifice fitting within the plumbing system is used to control excessive ascent/descent rates. Extraction of Test Arming Pin from outside the chamber. Audio system to enable monitoring of operation of the mechanism. Access door/observation window on the front of the chamber; Or Equal. Qty: 2 ea. The manufacturer to the above P/Ns is Irvin Aerospace ? 613-967-8069. DELIVERY: Moody Air Force Base, Valdosta, GA 31699. FOB POINT: Destination. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following addenda is provided to this provision: Request for Quotation should be submitted and shall contain the following information: SOLICITATION NUMBER; TIME SPECIFIED FOR RECEIPT OF OFFERS; NAME; ADDRESS; TELEPHONE NUMBER OF OFFEROR; TERMS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY; PRICE, ANY DISCOUNT TERMS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS. Quote shall also contain all other documentation specified herein. Signed quotes must indicate quantity, unit price and total amount.
