NOUN: Inlet Cone Assy; NSN: 2840-01-205-7572NZ; PN: 4069098;QTY: 9; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: 6 each to Tinker AFB OK; 3 each FMS; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW220E Engine; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: OD 10.780 inches at base; Wall Thickness 0.178 inches; Base Threads 3 threads, 10.500-.125 ACME Thread; Design Form Welded Cone; Overall Length 12.700 inches; PREDOMINENT MATERIAL: Titanium Alloy, AMS 4911; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Anti-ice cone directs airflow into inlet fan, provides support for PS2 probe. Anticipated Solicitation Issue Date: 23 Jan 2004; Anticipated Award Date: 30 Mar 2004. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. A formal paper solicitation is not anticipated, however, for anyone wishing to obtain a paper copy of the solicitation, one will be provided. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government Furnished drawings are available. The award is expected to be made to approved sources. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
