- Description
- The Fleet Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to solicit on an unrestricted commercial items basis in accordance with FAR part 12 using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures as per FAR part 13.5 for the rental of one 3,000 gallon and one 500 gallon liquid oxygen tanks along with a standing order of bulk medical grade liquid oxygen in the amount of 621,000 SCF per month and the up-dating of the current liquid oxygen alarm system. This acquisition is in support of the National Naval Medical Center, (NNMC) Bethesda, MD. The vendor will provide the storage containers for liquid oxygen along with all materials including but not limited to piping, fittings, values, pressure relief values, gassifiers and other components to provide a useable system that will connect to Government owned 2.1/2 inch main oxygen distribution piping. The storage tanks shall be installed, maintained, inspected and certified IAW NFPA 50 and NFPA 99 standards. The storage tanks shall be designed, constructed, tested and maintained IAW US Department of Transportation (DOT) specifications and Regulations for 4L containers. The vendor will provide a standing order of bulk medical grade liquid oxygen in the amount of 621,000 SCF per month usually during the 1st and 3rd week of each month but could be at anytime. Pricing for bulk medical grade liquid oxygen will be based on a cost per 100SCF of product. Vendors will receive payment for material delivered and pumped into the storage tank. A site visit to NNMC will be scheduled to inspect the current master alarm liquid oxygen system. A firm fixed price contract consisting of a base period of 7 months with up to four one year options is anticipated. The NACIS code is 325120; the SIC is 2813 . Release of the RFP will be via the Internet only. Interest parties may download the RFP upon its issuance at www.neco.navy.mil. It is imperative that interested parties review the NECO website frequently for any updates/amendments.
