- The acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the USCGC BISCAYNE BAY (WTGB 104), a 140-foot icebreaking tug. THIS REQUIREMENT IS A HUBZONE SET ASIDE. The estimated value of this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. NAICS is 336611 and the SIC is 3731. Vessel's homeport is ST IGNACE, MI. All work will be performed at COAST GUARD BASE, SAULT ST MARIE, MICHIGAN 49783. The performance period will be 36 days with a start date on or about 03 May 2004. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC BISCAYNE BAY (WTGB 104). This work will include, but is not limited to: CLEAN SEWAGE AND GREY WATER COLLECTION AND HOLDING TANKS; RENEW HATCH; CLEAN EXHAUST STACKS AND SPARK ARRESTORS; CLEAN VENTILATION SYSTEMS; INSPECT STEERING SYSTEM; OVERHAUL ANCHOR; PRESERVE CHAIN LOCKER; PROVIDE TEMPORARY MESSING; PROVIDE TEMPORARY BERTHING; SERVICE LIFE RAFTS AND HYDROSTATIC RELEASES; PROVIDE TEMPORARY LOGISTICS; REPAIR DAMAGE TO ANCHOR POCKETS; UPGRADE HEATING SYSTEM; RENEW HOT WATER HEATER; COMPOSITE LABOR. ALL WELDING AND BRAZING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TRAINED WELDERS, WHO HAVE BEEN CERTIFIED BY THE APPLICABLE REGULATORY CODE PERFORMANCE QUALIFICATION PROCEDURES.
