Description

The Armed Forces Retirement Home-Washington (AFRH-W) intends to award a Sole Source contract to Simplex Grinnell Inc. under FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Suppliers or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contract requirements call for the removal and replacement of Fire Alarm Control Transponders that are unique to and compatible with the Simplex Fire Alarm System. No other firm has the requisite knowledge, skill and specialized equipment required to perform this work. The anticipated award date will be on or before January 16, 2004. This is not a solicitation, nor does it represent a commitment by the Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of data or any other costs incurred in response to this notice. Written documentation submitted by interested parties of their bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement will be reviewed only to determine if it is necessary to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination not to compete this requirement is exclusively within the discretion of the Government
