Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation FQ50043315202 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and all incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-06. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS code 333120, which has a small business size standard of 750 employees. The requirement consists of the following, (CLIN #, Quantity and Unit of Issue, Description;) Request the rental of (2) 730 Caterpillar articulating end dumps. Contractor will provide all fluids needed to keep equipment operational. This will include at time of delivery 5 gallons of engine oil, 5 gallons of hydraulic oil, and 5 gallons of antifreeze. All unused fluids will be returned at the conclusion of the rental period. Contractor will be responsible for all maintenance, repair, tire repair, and service, at no additional cost to the government. The range maintenance personnel will operate trucks on the Oklahoma bombing range. Delivery and pick up will be to and from Ft. Greely. The Oklahoma Range is located 30 miles west of Ft. Greely. Access is by winter trail that crosses the Delta River at Ft. Greely. Trucks will be equipped with engine and transmission retarders, and winter covers. Rental period will begin 13 Feb 04 thru 26 Mar 04 for a period of 6 weeks. Trucks will come equipped with heated cabs. The trucks will be delivered and picked up from Ft Greely. Evaluation of offers will be performed on the basis of price.
