Description
COMMERCIAL RECORDS MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE Headquarters Standard System Group (SSG) is conducting market research to find alternatives to meet the possible future needs of the Air Force, DoD, Coast Guard and intelligence community for commercial records management software tools at the lowest overall cost. Records management software is used by an organization to manage its planning, controlling, directing, organizing, training, promoting, and other managerial activities involving the life cycle of information, including creation, maintenance (use, storage, retrieval), and disposal, regardless of media. Records include all books, papers, maps, photographs, machine-readable materials, and other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics, made or received by an Agency of the United States Government under Federal law or in connection with the transaction of public business. Record management procedures are used to achieve adequate and proper documentation of Federal policies and transactions and effective and economical management of Agency and organizational operations. The applicable standard is DoD 5015.2-STD, ?Design Criteria Standard for Electronic Records Management Software Applications.? Compliant products with recurring DoD requirements will be considered a high priority. Only software publishers with General Services Administration (GSA) multiple-award schedule contracts or their qualified resellers with GSA schedule contracts should respond. In response to this RFI, please provide to SSG your key products, prices and numbers of licenses under maintenance within the DoD, Coast Guard and the intelligence community. Please include in your response the amount of recent, current and projected revenues generated by these products from these customers. Identify customer POCs where available. All information you provide will be treated as business-sensitive, ?For Official Use Only.? Please indicate whether your firm is a large business, small business, very small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, women-owned small business, HUBZone small business, veteran-owned small business or service-disabled veteran-owned small business. Please provide your initial response no later than 20 Jan 2004 by email to Robert.Hamrick@Gunter.AF.Mil or Harold.Lockett@Gunter.AF.Mil, or mail to: HQ SSG/AQIS, Attn: Records Management RFI, 501 East Moore Drive, Room 1437 (Bldg. 884), Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex AL 36114-3000. After the initial response, vendors will be allowed/requested to submit further information. This is an RFI only. The Air Force will not pay for any information, documentation, data submitted and/or any costs associated with generating a response to this RFI. For specific questions, please contact Mr. Hamrick at 334-416-2303 or Mr. Lockett at 334-416-2308.
