- Description
- This is a Total Small Business HUBZone Set-Aside procurement, for the Drydock and Repair of USCGC ALEX HALEY, during the period of 12 May through 20 July 2004. All work will be accomplished at a facility capable of drydocking the cutter, which is 282 feet long. Work items include; Hull plate underwater body preservation, electric motor overhaul, controllable pitch propeller system maintenance, anchor windlass inspect and repair, AMR lagging and insulation renewal, freeboard preservation and drydocking. A RFP (request for proposal) will be issued on or about 20 January 2004. The solicitation, specifications and notifications will be posted on the web at: www.eps.gov. Attn Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP), offers working capital financing, in the form of lines of credit, to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
