Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Acquisition Center (VA NAC) is soliciting proposals under solicitation number 797-PV-03-002, for the Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor (PPV) program. The program covers VA and Other Government Agency (OGA) medical facilities. The estimated annual sale of the PPV is $3 billion. The NAICS code for this procurement is 424210. The contract performance date is April 1, 2004. The government intends to award the contract/s with 2-year base period and 3 one-year renewable options. Option period renewals are at the government=92s discretion. Offerors must have at least 5 years experience as a pharmaceutical prime vendor at the time of submitting the proposal. Offerors must also posses the necessary capabilities as set forth in the solicitation such as but not limited to: providing a wide range of pharmaceutical and selected medical surgical products; online ordering capabilities; EDI capabilities; next day delivery; and meeting a 97% fill rate. Procurement for Great Lakes, Heartland and Upper Midwest regions with estimated annual sales of $333 million is set-aside for small business concerns. The specified set-aside regions include VA and OGA facilities in 15 states. Offerors are encouraged to offer a proposal for single or multiple regions. Awards will be based on price and non-priced factors as outlined in the solicitation. The government may award the contract/s without discussion.
