- The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for the performance of technical services for the design and construction of force transducers. A Statement of Work (SOW), along with terms and conditions and full instructions, will be included in the solicitation document, which can be accessed in accordance with instructions provided below.*****The period of performance will be a base period of four (4) months, with two (2) option periods of four (4) months each. The Government is under no obligation to exercise options.*****This procurement is set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code number 541990 applies to this procurement; the business size standard is $5.0 million.*****All interested, responsible small business concerns may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the Government. The solicitation, any subsequent amendments thereto, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available for Contractor access, via the Internet, at http://www.fedbizopps.gov . The solicitation number is: SB1341-04-Q-0163. The Government anticipates releasing the solicitation for vendor access on or about December 31, 2003. Potential small businesses are responsible for accessing the web site and must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order.*****There is no written (hard copy) solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.*****Potential small businesses are requested to direct all questions, via email, to Tamara Grinspon, tamara.grinspon@nist.gov .*****See Numbered Notes 1 and 26.
