- NOTICE OF INTENT: The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection-Department of Homeland Security intends to solicit and award a sole source order to Navar Marine Design & Technology, located at S. Kovacevica 51, 85340 Herceg Novi, Montenegro, SCG for the delivery of quality parts and repair activities of three vessel engines pertaining to the Montenegrin Maritime Marine Unit. The subject Volvo Penta KAD-42 P-A, 238 h.p., V-6 diesel engines are reportedly no longer in production, but replacement parts are available through the Volvo engine distributor in Italy. Navar Marine Design & Technology is the only marine engine repair facility in Montenegro to be certified by the Volvo sub-distributor in Split, Croatia, to conduct repairs on Volvo engines, therefore the only Montenegrin Company that can purchase spare parts from the regional distributor in Italy.
