- Description
- The Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region Contracting Center at Fort McPherson, GA intends to procure through full and open competition, a fixed price acquisition for maintenance and repair services. The contract will include a base period of twe lve months plus four one-year option periods. The contractor will be located within a 25 mile radius of Ft. Ben Harrison, Indiana and shall provide annual inspection and maintenance services; unscheduled maintenance repairs and recovery service for all H igh Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) and M1009 Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicles (CUCV) assigned to the 3rd Brigade, 85th Division (TS), Indianapolis, Indiana. Currently, the 3rd Brigade has 148 vehicles assigned (105 HMMWVs and 43 CUCVs.) ACTUAL NUMBER AND EXACT TYPE OF VEHICLES MAY VARY. The contractor shall provide all personnel, management expertise, both direct support, and organizational maintenance as well as services, and special mechanical tools, transportation, and repair parts t hat are not Government furnished to perform required services. Contractor shall utilize ASE/AM General certified HMMWV mechanics with a minimum of 5 years hands on experience (HMMWV) to perform services. The North American Industry Classification System C ode (NAICS) for this requirement is 811118. The Small Business Size Standard is $6.0 million. No multiple awards will be made. Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be posted on or about 12 January 2004 via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. All fu ture correspondence regarding this acquisition will be posted at the same website and interested sources are encouraged to monitor the website for further information.
