- Description
- The Government of Egypt (GOE) is undertaking major reforms in the financial sector to promote increased domestic and international investment into productive enterprises, services, and real estate. The GOE, through the Ministry of Finance, has requested the services of a financial/investment advisor to assist with the strategic development of the National Investment Bank, an institution that will play a key role in the development of real estate finance in Egypt. This solicitation for a non-personal services contract for an independent contractor, and not an employee of USAID. USAID does not have the right to direct or control the day-to-day activities of the Contractor or the details and means by which the contractor performs the services. Hence, USAID shall not direct or control the day-to-day activities of the Contractor nor the details and means by which the contractor performs the services. Consistent with the Contractor's status as an independent contractor, USAID will not withhold income tax or social security, but if a US citizen, will issue a Form 1099 reporting on payments made. The planned period of performance is one year with option to extend the contract for a second year.
