- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for Grounds Maintenance Services at the SSA Frank Hagel Federal Building in Richmond, California. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract with a three (3) month base year period and four (4), successive, one-year options, if exercised, following a 45-calendar day phase-in/ transition period. This acquisition is a set-aside 100 percent for Total Small Business concerns. Any responsible small business source may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Agency. Offers received from other than a small business source will be deemed unacceptable and will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561730. The size standard for this NAICS code is $6.0 million. This acquisition is determined to be subject to Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regarding the acquisition of commercial items and also subject to Part 15 of the FAR regarding contracting by negotiation. A Request for Proposals (RFP), Number SS09-RFP-04-62000, is scheduled for release on or about February 3, 2004, with proposals due no-later-than 30 calendar days thereafter. The solicitation will be available for downloading from the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov . See note 1. The solicitation or cover letter will also include the date and time for a Site Survey. Requests for additional information received prior to the publication of the RFP may not be honored or acknowledged.
