Description

The U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, Natick Research, Development and Engineering Center, Natick, MA, has a requirement for a Netting Fabric, Solar Fly. This Netting Fabric is to be utilized as Government Furnished Material (GFM) to support a procu rement of Advanced Solar Covers (ASC) for Army War Reserve stockage. The Government envisions that multiple Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts for three years, Basic Ordering Period, CLIN 0001, will be awarded as a result of the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates the minimum quantity of 300,000 square yards and a maximum of 1 million square yards of the Fabric. The Government reserves the right to make a single award as a result of this RFP base d on offers received. It is anticipated that as part of the evaluation, the Government may visit the manufacturers to inspect and witness the operation of an offeror??????s proposed Fabric. This is a Full and Open competition procurement. The applicable N orth American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 313249 with a size standard of 500 employees. Any Small Business with the capacity to perform and meet all of the Government??????s requirements for this solicitation within the time constraint, must contact Mr. David Condon at David.Condon@natick.army.mil phone number (508) 233- 4995 NO LATER THAN 29 DECEMBER 2003. Depending on responses this procurement may or may not be a set aside for small business. Firms shall not be rei mbursed for any cost associated with proposals. A request for hard copy of the RFP will not be honored. Telephone calls will not be accepted. Offerors are required to submit a hard copy proposal to include a product sample as described herein and as detai led in the Purchase Description available at the RMAC-NCD web page mentioned below. Offerors are cautioned that their product must comply with Berry Amendment restrictions (see DFARS Clause 252.225-7012) in order to receive award. To be eligible for awar d, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Information on the CCR may be obtained at http://www.ccr.gov. The product sample must be five linear yards (12 or 20 feet width). The Government reserves the right to make any chang es to this information upon release of the solicitation.
