- SYNOPSIS for Construct Contractor Gate Project SGBP 02-0074 Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska Offutt AFB, NE announces the pre-solicitation of project SGBP 02-0074 Construct Contractor Gate, Capeheart Road, Bellevue NE. This project consists of the construction of a designated contractor entrance gate and pass and identification issue center. The location will be near the SAC Gate entrance to Offutt Air Force Base Capeheart Rd. A canopy will cover the inspection area and inspection pits shall be included for undercarriage observation. The existing parking lot at SAC Gate will be extended. The new Pass/ID Center will include a registration area, break room, mechanical room, indoor dog kennel, administration room and restrooms. Streetlights will illuminate the entrance road and parking lot. A hydraulic arm safety barrier will be placed to increase security. The work at the existing gate will also include the relocation of the primary power line that crosses the site. Phone requests will not be accepted. The estimated release date of solicitation is set for 9 Jan 2004. A site visit will be conducted approximately two (2) weeks prior to the anticipated close date of 10 Feb 2004. A special notice will be posted to this web site with specific instructions and submission deadlines for attendance.
