- Description
- Provide anatomic pathology and clinical laboratory services to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501. This is a commerical item being solicited under authority 38 USC 8153, to provide both, on-site and at contractors site, conventional services for anatomic pathology and clinical laboratory daily Monday through Friday for the period May 1, 2004 through April 30, 2005 with three option years. Must provide 24-hour coverage 365 days per year for emergent procedures such as frozen sections, autopsies, etc. Laboratory services will include processing of surgical, autopsy and cytology specimens, reading of cytology slides. The contractor's facility must be physically located within the local geographic area or within a 10 mile radius of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Grand Junction, Colorado (time restriction due to the transporting of frozen specimens which must be processed and initial report received at the VA Medical Center in 30 minutes or less). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. RFP will be available and posted to this website December 23, 2003. Proposal is due February 6, 2004 by close of business 4:30pm mountain time. NAICS for this procurement is 621511 with a size standard of $11.5 million.
