Description

The Nonproliferation and National Security Institute (NNSI) has been tasked to form partnerships with other institutions of higher education for the purpose of transitioning students into degree programs. As part of this task, the NNSI will need to complete documentation to support this effort. The NNSI plans to work with a consultant who is familiar with institutional accreditation, college operations, and program development to assist in the development of draft documents. The consultant will be asked to perform the following: 1. Review draft documents, modify or create documents and provide recommendations concerning: a. Issues related to establishing a higher education consortium such as tuition, course development, program control, accreditation, student records and general administration b. Recommendations for a Program of Studies for upper division classes in the area of Security Management c. Availability of classes in distance learning formats from selected partners d. Identification and proposed solutions to accreditation issues The project will require travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The transportation estimate should be based on 3 trips. Lodging and per diem will be paid at government rates and therefore these costs are not needed. Estimated project hours for completion of project is 120 hours. Initial evaluation criteria consists of: Experience evaluating federal training programs Familiarity with Accreditation agencies and requirements Experience working with institutions of higher education Experience with Federal Agencies
