Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the drydock and repair of USCGC ORCAS (WPB 1327) 110’ Patrol Boat, homeported in Coos Bay, Oregon. All work shall be performed at the contractor’s facility, during the period of 28 January 2004 and complete 09 March 2004. . Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about the 16 September 2003 with a Closing Date of 16 October 2003. Offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, bulkhead repair, hull plating, underwater body inspect, tanks (MP fuel stowage and overflow) clean and inspect, port and starboard propulsion shaft removal and reinstallation, rudder/rudder stock removal and reinstallation, potable water tank preservation, bilge (machinery space) preserve, partial, tanks (sewage,) preserve, hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial, temporary service, drydock, temporary berthing, temporary messing, drydock/hauling. FedTeDS: In order to open and download the specifications, the vendor must register in FedTeDS (using their CCR). E-mail will arrive in 48 hours to the vendor authorizing access. Go to www.fedbizopps.gov to the solicitation to link to the specifications. The solicitation is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
