- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement to procure two (2) partial Fiber Optic Data Multiplex System (FODMS) shipsets with an option for one (1) additional partial FODMS shipset. This requirement also includes supporting spares and installation and checkout (INCO) services. Solicitation N00024-04-R-4100 will be issued to SierraTech, Sierra Research Division, 485 Cayuga Road, PO Box 222, Buffalo, NY 14225 since they are the only qualified FODMS producer of the aforementioned equipment that can meet the Navy?s required delivery schedule. SierraTech?s parent corporation, Integrated Defense Technologies, has recently merged with DRS Technologies. This solicitation will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). This synopsis is for informational purposes only and the benefit of potential subcontractors. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the source identified herein.
