- Description
- DTCG87-04-Q-643004. LORSTA ATTU Caterpillar 11,000 hour Top End (First Interval) Generator Overhaul. This project involves the furnishing of all equipment, common and special tools, travel and incidentals necessary to perform factory recommended 11,000 hour Top End (First Interval) service, inspection, overhaul and rebuild procedures on (1) Coast Guard owned Caterpillar model 3512, serial number 67Z00928. All procedures to be as outlined in Caterpillar Publication SEBU6103 or current edition as well as other Caterpillar references and procedures. All parts shall be genuine Caterpillar Tractor Co. parts meeting all manufacturer original equipment specifications. All work shall be performed by a ?Caterpillar Qualified? mechanic and must provide a copy of the mechanic?s Caterpillar Qualifications Card. After completion of the overhaul, test run the engine generator under full load for four hours and verify factory-operating specifications. The project site is located at U.S. Coast Guard LORAN Station Attu, Alaska is located on the island of Attu at the western end of the Aleutian Islands. There is no overland access to Attu; access is by barge or aircraft only. The estimated start work date is early to mid-February 2004, with all work to be completed by end of Feb 2004. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310 and the applicable size standard is $11.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. This project is not set-aside for small businesses. All responsible businesses may submit a quotation. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form.
