- Description
- The Central District is considering contracting reporter services as part of our courtroom staffing plan. The contract would be renewable annually, and would require the reporters provided to the court to have certain qualifications, which include: ‒ 4 years court reporting experience, ‒ RPR or CSR, and ‒ Experience in connecting Real Time to a judge or an attorney. Other considerations that would be part of any contract for reporter services are outlined below. ‒ The Court owns steno notes produced during court proceedings. All steno notes would need to be turned in to the Court at the end of each day. ‒ When a transcript is ordered, a complementary certified copy of that transcript must be provided to the Court. ‒ Transcripts must meet the Court format guidelines. ‒ The Firm must guarantee reporter coverage pursuant to the terms of the contract. ‒ Transcript rates are set by the Court. If you are interested in participating in a Request For Proposal (RFP) for Contracted Court Reporting Services, please fax a letter of interest on your firm?s letterhead, to (213)894-5367 by close of business January 2, 2004. This letter of interest will be kept on file so that any RFPs posted by the Court can be mailed directly to your firm.
