- ------SYNOPSIS------ The Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) contract, at Davis-Monthan AFB AZ, will be a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract. It will include a wide range of individual construction tasks which include carpentry, road and parking lot repair, roofing, excavating, interior and exterior electrical, steam fittings, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete masonry and welding. The successful contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment and personnel necessary to design, manage and accomplish individual projects and maintain a management/project office at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ to receive delivery orders and provide other management services related to accomplishing individual projects. The government anticipates awarding one 8(a) contract, which will consist of one (1) base year with four (4) one-year options at the government’s option. The guaranteed minimum will be $500,000.00 with an estimated maximum of $12,000,000.00 per year for an estimated total of $60,000,000.00 for the base year and four option years. Significant subcontracting activity is expected under the SABER contract. The successful contractor will be selected using Performance/Price Trade-off (PPT) procedures resulting in the Best Value to the government. The solicitations will be issued electronically on Electronic Posting System (EPS) Internet site only, on or about 17 Nov 03. No paper copies of the solicitations will be available. You must register on that site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. Please submit any questions regarding the solicitations via e-mail to Judy Wadley, judy.wadley@dm.af.mil or in writing at the pre-proposal conference, which is scheduled on 21 Nov 03 at the 355th Contracting Squadron, Thunderbolt Conference room, located at 3180 S Craycroft Road, Davis-Monthan AFB AZ 85707-3522. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Registering may take up to three (3) weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
