The NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMAND (NAVSEA), intends to issue a request for proposal to Raytheon Company, Integrated Defense Systems, 1847 West Main Road, M/S N16, Portsmouth, Rhode Island , for an estimated 12,022 man days for engineering efforts and studies related to the AN/AQS-20X Mine Detecting Sonar under Contract N00024-99-C-6337. The estimated Period of Performance (POP) expires September 30, 2005. Raytheon Company is th e designer and developer of the AN/AQS-20X Mine Detecting Sonar under contract N00024-99-C-6337 and is the only firm that currently possesses the requisite knowledge and experience to provide the needed effort within the Navy?s required timeframe. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy?s requirements. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Naval Sea Systems Command. (See Numbered Note 22)!!
