- The Department of State will have an Industry Day for the subject solicitation on 21-22 October 2003. This will be a pre-proposal conference to address the draft RFP and provide information on the use of the bid tool (Tabular Format), which is to be used for the proposals. One on one conferences will be held in the afternoon of 22 October and morning of the 23 October. Additionally, interested parties will have the option to have in-depth workshop/practicum with ASC Group on 22 and 23 October. The Department has posted a draft RFP on their Web site at inl-a.state.gov . Request Industry provide interim comments on the Draft by COB 16 October 2003. Final comments are due by 31 October 2003. The Industry Day Conference will be conducted at the Radisson Suites Hotel Oceanfront located at North Hwy A1A Melbourne FL 32903 (telephone (321) 773-9260). Some rooms have been made available on first come-first served basis. Please mention State Department Industry Day to receive a special rate. The Industry Day agenda is provided below. Tuesday, 21 October 2003 Morning Session (At the Radisson) 0730 Sign In 0800 Introductions Review of Draft RFP Q&A on Draft RFP Explanation of the Bid Tool (Tabular Format) Afternoon Session (At the Wickham Office) One on Ones 1400 -1515 Session 1 1530 -1645 Session 2 Wednesday, 22 October 2003 One on ones (cont’d) (At the Wickham Office) 0900 - 1015 Session 3 1030 – 1145 Session 4 If we have more than four interested parties we will have additional sessions on Wednesday afternoon. We will ensure that there is no conflict with the ASC Group practicum. The one on ones are limited to one hour and fifteen minutes per prime contractor and their subs. We request prime’s limit the number of their group so that discussion can be meaningful, but at most limit them to ten total. Request you provide your interest in rank order preference as to the time for the one on one. If two or more prime’s sign up for the same timeframe, we will conduct a lottery for that time slot. Preference will be given to the Tuesday slots to those primes that choose not to attend the ASC Group practicum. Provide your information and request to Steve Harris at steve.harris@inl-a.state.gov by COB 9 October 2003. Post-Industry Brief Practicum 22-23 October 2003 On the Wednesday and Thursday (22-23 Oct) after the Industry Brief (21 Oct), ASC will be offering a 1/2-day TF!/SeeSOR Practicum to any interested Bidder. The Practicum will be based on the TF! Tool released by the Project Team on October 6 [INLA RALs v0_1 (10-05-03).xls], as well as the SeeSOR application program previously released by ASC to Bidders. Bidders will be given the opportunity to ask questions of the ASC Instructor while practicing with the tools. No formal lecture will be provided, but the Instructor will begin each Session by canvassing suggestions from the group of topics it wishes to cover. A group may elect to focus solely on TF! or SeeSOR, at its discretion. Details of the Practicum follow: Session 1: 8AM – 12 Noon 22 Oct Session 2: 1PM - 5PM 22 Oct Session 3: 8AM – 12 Noon 23 Oct Session 4: 1PM - 5PM 23 Oct Location: Radisson Hotel, 16th Floor Meeting Room Session Price: $3,950 Facilities: 5 networked PC's available with all necessary applications installed. Bidders to bring their own working TF! files and/or SeeSOR databases.
