- NOTE: See end of this solicitation for answers to bidder technical questions. This combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-17. The proposed contract listed is set aside for small business, and applies to Northern American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) 334119, and employee standard size of 1000. Offeror must state in their offer whether they are the manufacturer of the products or obtaining them from another small business or a large business. The contractor shall provide the following item: one (1) Smart Technologies 3000i (or equal) interactive whiteboard with integrated cabinet and projector. Quotations for this solicitation must include shipping costs (FOB destination) to Base Supply, 7100 Saber Road, Building 1284, F. E. Warren AFB, WY 82005. The provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition with the blanks filled in as follows: Request for Quotation will be evaluated for price and compatibility with specifications. Quotes shall include pricing information to include material unit price and extended total as well as the completed provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. No addenda apply. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items-applies to this acquisition. Additional FAR 52.212-5 clauses cited in the clause applicable to this acquisition are (b) (6) (14) (16) (17) (18) and (24). The following clauses are also applicable to this acquisition: DFARS 252.225-7001 Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program, 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration, 252.225-7036 Buy American Act?North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act?Balance of Payments Program, and 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests. QUESTIONS FROM BIDDER(S): (1) Would the end-user be open to considering an alternate, less expensive item than the SMART board? We will consider any item that meets or exceeds the specifications listed in the solicitation synopsis. (2) Is the reason the end-user requested the SMART 3000i because they want to avoid casting a shadow on the Board when they write? YES. (3) Is the end-user interested in having customized training and hand-held portable devices that enable the capabilities to go with the end-user even into the field or out of the office to conferences? NO. (4) Is the end-user interested in having dedicated technical support 7 days per week, 365 days per year? YES. (5) Is the utilization going to be in a conference room, or an auditorium? (please include approximate size of your typical audience) 5 to 30 person training room.
