- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue an Invitation for Bid for a firm-fixed price construction contract to demolish and remove the existing Salt Flat and Biggers Road Bridges located on the Trinity River, in Trinity County, California. Principal features of the work will include: controlling water during construction; maintaining access for residents during construction, including temporary bridge relocation; excavating and constructing reinforced concrete foundations and abutments; constructing reinforced drilled shafts including reinforced concrete columns; designing and constructing segmental retaining walls, designing and constructing segmental retaining walls; designing, fabricating, furnishing, and installing steel truss bridges; constructing reinforced concrete bridge decks; furnishing and placing gravel surfacing, aggregate base course, and asphalt concrete pavement; removing existing railroad flatcar bridges, decks, and railing containing lead-based paint and pressure treated timber; removing existing reinforced concrete piers and abutments, H-piling, regarding existing bridge sites; and off-site disposal of all removed materials. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Period of performance is 333 days. This is an unrestricted solicitation and all offers from responsible concerns will be considered. FAR Clause 52.219-4 "Notice of price evaluation preference for HUB Zone small business concerns" applies. NAICS Code is: 237310 and size standard is: 28.5M. Solicitation 04SI202002 will be posted on the FEDBIZ OPS web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about Dec 17, 2003. The estimated date for receipt of bids is on or about February 2, 2004. Details concerning the preproposal conference and how to register will be in Section L of the solicitation. The solicitation and specifications MUST be downloaded at the above site, with the drawings being mailed to you by hardcopy. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings. You must register on the Bidder's Mailing List to receive the drawings.
