Description
NA Project No. XDQU002916, Repair Aircraft Parking Ramp and Drainage, 165th Airlift Wing, Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, Savannah, Georgia. The government intends to award a contract to the offeror deemed responsible in accordance with the Feder al Acquisition Regulation, whose proposal conforms to the RFPs requirements and is evaluated to represent the Best Value to the Government. Best Value is the most advantageous offer, price and other factors considered, and consistent with the Governments stated importance of evaluation criteria. This may result in award being made to a higher-rated, higher priced offeror where the Contracting Officer determines that and offerors past and present performance and technical evaluation of the higher-priced of fer outweighs the cost difference. Evaluation factors include: Past and Present Performance, safety, project management, schedule, and price. Estimated cost of this project is between $1 and $5 million. This project consists of pavement replacement and repairs on the Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) aircraft ramp at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, Savannah, Georgia. Work also includes the removal of both asphalt and concrete pavements sections and replacement with full depth conc rete pavement and joints. Approximately 15,000 square yards of pavement will be replaced. Some joint repair, spall repair and patching is required. Materials for spall and pop-out repairs shall be PaveMend, ABC Cement, Dell Patch, or approved equal. Th e estimated solicitation, plans, and specifications will be issued on/or about 29 December 2003. Estimated proposal closing date is 29 January 2004. The contractor must be committed to a 10 May 2004 start date, and provide all submittals prior to the 10 M ay 2004 start date. All amendments, site visits, minutes and questions will be posted on the web. There is no charge for the solicitations, plans, and specs, which will be available at the following internet site: http://www.starc.dod.state.ga.us/ebs/Ad vertisedSolicitations.asp. All contractors and subcontractors interested in this project must register at the site. Prime contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Register at: http://www.ccr.com to be eligible for award.
