- Description
- The proposed contract action, to be accomplished as a modification to N00033-01-P-9062, is for supplies which the Government intends to purchase from Vega Industries of New Zealand on a sole source basis. Performance is to be outside of the United States. The requirement is for provision, installation, and maintenance of two distinct LED beacons, and two remote monitoring Outstations each incorporating Global Positioning receivers into the entrance channel buoys marking the Diego Garcia Harbour entrance; this is to be integrated into the existing Sector Range Light. This requirement is sole source because Vega is the Original Equipment Manufacturer who designed, fabricated, and installed the existing Sector Range Light and the Vega Tel Base Station.
