- Description
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has the need for custodial services at the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center located in Homer, Alaska. The facility serves as a visitor center, marine science education center and administrative headquarters. The facility is a newly constructed building. The administrative offices will support approximately 40 staff members year round with possible increase in staff members during the summer. The Visitor Center could receive approximately 50,000 annual visitors with a peak visitoration in the summer and during special events with as many as 1,000 visitors daily. The contractor shall provide custodial and related services for the approximately 31,800 square foot facility. The facility has two floors with 5 entry/exit areas, 85 rooms and public areas, 3 stairways, 9 bathrooms, 4 water fountains, and 1 telephone area. Custodial services included but not limited to are floor maintenance, restroom maintenance, general office clean-up, and visitor center maintenance. Custodial services are detailed in the Section C of the solicitation. All contractor's must be registered on the Central Contractor Registration in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations subpart 4.11.
