- This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format listed in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. FA4621-04-Q-0017 is being issued as a Request for Quotation, which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. This acquisition is reserved for small businesses. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 336999 size standard 500 employees. McConnell AFB, KS plans to acquire the following items: M-Gator Diesel 6X4 Diesel Gator-18hp, overhead valve, 3-cyclinder, liquid-cooled, 4 cycle diesel engine, Keyless ignition, Anti theft security cable, Multi position heavy duty cargo box with fold down sides and tailgate and power lift, Hour meter, M16 compatible rifle holder on front brush guard, bumper, Government-spec heavy-duty pintloe hitch, Diesel and JP8 fuel compatible, Air drop Certified, transports in most fixed and rotary wing cargo aircraft, Army safety release, Army Ammunition Transportation Safety Release. Meets or exceeds civilian commercial equipment hillside stability and braking accreditation for ANSI and SAE. Quantity 2 each. OR EQUAL The following provisions in their latest editions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal; FAR 52.212-1 Instructions To Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. All quotes will be evaluated on price, delivery and technical requirements. Before the offer?s specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award. Please submit with your quote a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. The Government will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer is confirming to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government. The FAR clauses may be viewed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/ Contractors submitting quotes must be enrolled in the Central Contractor Registration Program (http://www.ccr.gov/). The closing date for this solicitation will be 10 December 2003, 4:00 PM Central Standard Time. Quotes may be submitted by fax or e-mail. Late quotes will not be accepted.
