- NAICS Code: 541380 The US Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a purchase order under simplified acquisition procedures to Dr. Rao Veermachaneni to use full-length rat recombinant SP22 as immunogen and assess fertility of immunized female rabbits following in utero insemination of sperm from naive males. He is the only investigator currently working with the rabbit that performs in utero insemination to achieve a consistent sensitive measure of sperm quality. EPA is currently partners with outside organizations under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) to investigate SP22 directed antagonists and has identified Dr. Rao Veermachaneni as the only individual with the qualifications and products to perform the task within the prescribed time frame, i.e., FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements". Interested parties who can meet the above requirements may submit qualification statements no later than 15 days after the date of this publication.
