- Description
- The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award to ORE Offshore on a sole source basis 8 each EdgeTech Model 8242XS Release Transponders and 2 each Coastal Acoustic Release Transponders (CART) under authority of FAR 6.302. The required release transponders are integral parts of the current oceanographic measurement system comprised of 19 EdgeTech 8242XS Release Transponders and 14 Coastal Acoustic Release Transponders (CART). The required release transponders shall be fully compatible with existing release transponders and NRLs currently owned EG&G 8011A Acoustic Command Transceiver Controllers. Award will be made based on written quotation with an anticipated award date of December 4, 2003. Delivery shall be no later than 60 days from date of award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
