- Description
- NAVICP-M intends to enter into a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Rolls-Royce Naval Marine, Pascagoula MS. The BOA will cover a three-year period with two one-year extensions and include line items for the evaluation and repair of propellers, inspection gages, patterns, balancing arbors, inspection hubs and accessories for various classes of Navy ships. Any orders issued under the BOA will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Rolls-Royce is one of only six companies that currently possesses the necessary equipment, capability, capacity, tooling, facilities and in-depth knowledge necessary to repair propellers of varied complexity, size and design for combatant and auxiliary ships. The Government does not possess and cannot provide the technical data necessary to the successful repair of the propellers. Numbered notes 22 and 26 apply.
