Description: PEOSTRI intends to upgrade the hardware of the currently fielded Basic Electronics Training System (BET). The BET is a legacy system that was designed to provide training for 22 Military Occupational Specialties in the areas of electronics diagnosis and repair. The system is comprised of proprietary and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, and copyrighted software. This procurement will upgrade the proprietary and COTS hardware on 397 student stations and 21 instructor operator stations. Sole source is planned with NIDA Corp, Melbourne, Fl. due to the proprietary software. SEE NOTE 22.
